Microsoft Office Administrative Assistant Certificate

Eight-Week Program (120 Hours)

Upon completion of Microsoft Office Administrative Assistant Certificate Program, individuals will obtain the computer/office skills needed for employment in various industries. This eight-week, accelerated program includes extensive instruction and hands-on training in:

  • Microsoft Windows/Keyboarding
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Outlook

This certificate program will be ideal for adults/dislocated workers who are:

  • Changing career fields.
  • Seeking formal/fast-track training in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Seeking an office/administrative assistant position.
  • Pursuing a secretarial update or advancement.
  • Requiring current computer skills to complement existing experience/skills.

Classes start on June 4, 2024, and will conclude on August 21, 2024.  Each week, classes will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The total cost for the program is $2,500.

Country Barn Farm First Year Beekeeping Class

 

This is a classroom-based course offering an introduction to honeybee biology and basic approaches to beekeeping. The course will include an overview of honeybee biology and the basic equipment and techniques necessary to be a successful beekeeper. The goal is for students to learn how to keep bees for the first year. Country Barn Farm offers all the beekeeping equipment you need to get started. Boaters Safety Course (Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission)

Boating Safety Education Certificates are required for all operators of personal watercraft, regardless of age, and for boat operators born on or after January 1, 1982, that operate motorboats of more than 25 horsepower. Students who successfully complete this course may apply for a Boating Safety Education Certificate issued by the Commission. To receive a Boating Safety Education Certificate, the student must send a check or money order for $10.00 to the Commission.

 

-The PA Fish & Boat Commission’s PA Basic Boating Course was developed to supply boaters with practical information so they can make better informed decisions on the water. Instructors provide students with information to help them reduce the risk of injury and conflict on the water.

-This course presents information on boating and water safety and contains six chapters followed by a 50-question multiple-choice test. A passing grade of 80% must be achieved. Instructors provide course materials to the students.

Nature Journaling

Join artist and naturalist Betsy Bangley for an introduction to keeping a nature journal. No drawing experience is required. Learn techniques for recording what you see in nature and discover the self-care benefits of keeping a nature journal. We will begin indoors with inspiration and an introduction to techniques, then go outdoors to explore and create! All materials are provided. Please dress for the weather.

Golf - Beginning

CPR: Healthcare Providers BLS

This course is for individuals who are healthcare providers or preparing to become a healthcare provider and follows AHA guidelines for infant, child, and adult victims. Skills demonstration/written test result in a two-year completion card. Emails are required upon registration for mandatory pre-tests.

Women’s Self Defense Workshop

Learn to be SAFER! Join us to become more aware, prepared, and ready. Learn improved awareness, simple and effective martial arts techniques, improvised weapons, vulnerable targets, choke hold release, and escape techniques.
